Kingston Free Brake Light Replacement

Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Democratic Socialists of America will repair brake lights free of charge for area residents on May 11 in the Citizen Action parking lot at the intersection of Grand Street and Prince Street. This free event is the second in a series of direct actions organized to benefit the greater community and build solidarity among the working class.

This public service aims to help local residents retain access to reliable transportation and to prevent unnecessary police stops that can result in expensive tickets and court appearances.

By reducing the opportunity for police stops that disproportionately affect marginalized populations, the Mid-Hudson Valley DSA is working toward its vision of a more just, humane, and free society.
